Directions to Fort Carson

DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT: The Colorado Springs Airport is located North East of Fort Carson. Exit the Airport road onto Drennan Road and follow it heading West until you reach Academy Blvd. Turn left. Continue on Academy towards the mountains. Pass the exit for Fort Carson Gate #4 at B-Street and continue West. Take the State Highway 115 exit South towards Canon City. Go past Fort Carson Gate #2 exit. After approximately two miles, Fort Carson Gate #1 will be on your left. Follow the brown signs to the Inprocessing/Welcome Center (open 24/7) or Colorado Inn (billeting).
FROM DENVER, take I-25 South to Colorado Springs. Take the South Academy Blvd exit at Exit #135. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto south Academy Blvd heading West towards the mountains. Pass the exit for Fort Carson Gate #4 at B-Street. Continue West towards the mountains. Take the State Highway 115 exit South towards Canon City. Continue past Fort Carson Gate #2 exit for approximately two miles. Fort Carson Gate #1 will be on your left. Follow the brown signs to the Inprocessing/Welcome Center (open 24/7) or Colorado Inn (billeting).
FROM PUEBL0, take I-25 North to Colorado Springs. Take the South Academy Blvd exit at Exit #135 and turn left towards the mountains. Pass the exit for Fort Carson Gate #4 at B-Street and continue West to Highway 115. Go south on Highway 115 towards Canon City. Go past Fort Carson Gate #2 exit for approximately two miles. Fort Carson Gate #1 will be on your left. Follow the brown signs to the Inprocessing/Welcome Center (open 24/7) or Colorado Inn (billeting).
BASE ACCESS: Fort Carson is a 'closed' post. In order to gain access to the post, new arrivals should report to Gate #1 on Highway 115 for a vehicle pass or to register your vehicle on post. Your current driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration information/papers will be needed.
Air Transportation: Colorado Springs Airport is currently served by 8 airline carriers and is located about 10 miles from Fort Carson. The Armed Forces YMCA Booth, located near baggage claim area #4, is available for assistance. Military transportation is available 24 hours a day by calling 1-800-279-1151.
Bus Transportation: The Greyhound bus terminal is located at 120 S. Weber Street. Call 719-635-1505 for bus fare information.
Taxi Service: Taxi service is available from a variety of local companies. Fare for trips from Fort Carson to the airport is approximately $15.
